How to Be Beautiful - From the Inside Out
“No one knows the value of ‘looking hot’ as much as teens do. Having it ‘together’ can spell the difference between being one of the crowd—or not. But the ‘success potion’ isn’t found in a bottle or a pill, any more than it can be found in a great outfit or the latest hairstyle, eye shadow or nail polish. It’s also more important than winning the approval it takes to be the most popular ‘in’ person at school. The really beautiful are those who are comfortable in their own skin, who make the most of their natural beauty and have learned to like themselves. Jennifer’s practical advice will show you how.”—Kate MacIsaac, Miss California Teen All American
Right on, Kate! Being a teenager is an exciting, but turbulent time. You feel self-confident one day, only to be greeted by self-doubt the next. You look in the mirror and feel quite sure that you are positively looking like hot stuff one minute, and then—presto!—it all takes a drastic U-turn. But you want to look and feel your best all the time. It’s only natural! There are practical benefits, as well: Liking the way you look and feel is the key to self-confidence. And here’s the secret: It starts from the inside and radiates out.
You know how important it is to have all the right things to look hot and feel good—things like trendy clothes and jewelry, and the very latest in beauty products, such as lip gloss, perfume and nail polish. It’s all about shopping, shopping and, well, shopping—it’s a lot of fun to keep up with fads, fashions and trends. But there are some things that money just can’t buy, like love, self-esteem, faith, friends and goals that give your life real purpose. These priceless and precious qualities can make a girl more appealing and attractive than any of the latest or most expensive store purchases—and their worth goes far beyond anything that all the money in the world can buy.
